Types of Training

Understanding Sex Trafficking: Demand

This training is from the buyers perspective and is geared to different audiences, depending on the knowledge level, organizational structure, and learning objective of the audience.

Law Enforcement/Parole & Probation

This training will equip law enforcement to understand some of the dynamics in a sexually offensive behavior, deviant sex acts, and the demand of purchasing sex.  Additionally, Tiara instructs on involving select non-profits to assist in retaining victim witness for cases, as well as using non-profits for tasks that provide much needed staff hours for law enforcement.

Hotel & Guest Services Staff

This training equips the hotel and lodging industry to recognize sex trafficking and to know how to effectively assist victims. It includes techniques to identify purchasers of sex, traffickers, and victims, which allow an opportunity for services to assist the victim in getting the help they need.

Colleges & Universities

This training not only helps students to understand sexual assault, but also recognize sex trafficking, and motivates them to do what they can to prevention and raised awareness. It also provides applicable resources to empower students to formulate committees, fundraise, and other outreach efforts to end a culture that promotes sexual violence.

Churches and Faith Based Organizations

Faith based groups are offered some of the best opportunities to help stop human trafficking in their areas. This training educates and motivates both individuals and groups about the men who purchase sex, pornography addiction, and sex trafficking, as well as ideas to help mobilize tangible work in this area. Tiara has a deep understanding of the dynamics of faith-based organizations and how to form a successful and sustainable campaign against deviant sexual acts.

Resiliency and Secondary Trauma

Those dedicated to end sexual violence and sex human trafficking often work hard and long because their hearts are moved to make a difference against this atrocity.  Workers in this movement are beginning to experience compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma, and burn out.  This training provides practical ways to help staff and individuals maintain their own mental health, strengthen their own resilience and continue to passionately change lives in this movement.

Sex Offender, Sex Addiction, and Pornography 

This training will focus on the different types of sexual violence, the common denominators in sexual assault cases, and how those who purchase sex, abuse sexually, and engage in violence are intertwined. Tiara tackles the issue of how to overcome our community’s fixation with a liberated sex culture in order to raise awareness and provide more services for restoring the family unit and freedom from sexual violence.

The Link between Pornography and Sexual Violence

Pornography has become increasingly violent, and much of what is shown involves force, fraud and coercion. Tiara will discuss the increasing number of reports surfacing about pornography and uncover the intrinsic link with sex trafficking.
